Alabama police charge 8-year-old with murder in death of 1-year-old

My article this week is over an 8-year-old boy who beat his sister to death.

In the overall aspect of the article the 1-year-old girl wouldn’t stop crying while the mother was at a club. A 8-year-old boy became annoyed and “viciously attacked” the toddler, beating her to death, police in Birmingham, Alabama, said. Little Kelci Lewis suffered severe head trauma and “major internal organ damage.”

The position I would take on this matter would be my opinion on parent control. If I were to leave my 8-year old son at home by hisself (which I would never do) I would at least make sure I had someone else there to supervise like a babysitter or friend. When I become of age and get married I would like for my kids to know at a young age that even when their sister/brother gets on their nerves they should never hit each other and if they did their would be consequences. The mother in this article might not have been at the scene but she could have prevented this happening if she were not at the club partying. In the future I would advise that you would take more precautions before something tragic happens like the death of the 1-year-old.

This effects the world because if the parents all around the world continue acts like these then their would be no common ground on what right. When teaching kids that it is okay to get as mad as the 8-year-old did this is the opposite of how the situation should be handled. I would also say that other countries may not have this issue right now but if this is a continuos thing then other children will think it is ok. If the parents around the globe don’t have a babysitter to take care of the child then I would suggest that you find a friend or family member to see them because you do deserve time to yourself but not leave an 8-year l-old with a 1-year-old by him/herself. In conclusion parental supervision is an extremely important part of parent hood and should be greatly stressed through each country and be one of the number one rules to look at.
