Race and Reality: The Scourge of Segregation

My article this week is over the issue of segregation.

Reginald Jackson drove along the desolate streets of a once-vibrant African-American neighborhood, laying out long-established racial and behavioral codes perfected in this Midwestern city. “Milwaukee is a place where isolation has a huge impact on the relationships people have,” says Jackson, who was a young boy when his family moved here from Charleston, Mississippi. He describes how he has the the world start to change back to the way it used to be.

I take I position into the subject with pain and sorrow for the African Americans. They should not be treated any differently based on their color. I am a christian and I believe that God didn’t make each and every one of us to just tear each other apart. When looking back at how slavery was and is somewhat in this day and time makes me cringe at the thought. We as individuals need to look into the matter more and see how this wold is about to come.

The way it effects the world is by having segregation in all countries. Not only does this affect the Untied States but it also affects the rest of the work with different races. The common denominator is not just blacks against white, it is also races they are being separated. In this day and time if we want to keep our sanity in what’s right I suggest that everyone look into this tragic event that is going on and help fix it now. In conclusion, one day I wish we could all look at each other and not look at our appearances and look at what truly matters which is what is in the inside.
